Shrine of Hope for Young People
One of the three special pilgrimage sites for the 2025 Jubilee Year will be the Chatswood Parish.
The Jubilee Year will include two very special events – the Canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, whose relic will be held at the Shrine of Hope for the Youth, on 27th April 2025, and the Canonization of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati on 3rd August 2025.
Blessed Carlo Acutis will be the first Millennial Saint and is best known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist, and the website he built that documented Eucharistic Miracles around the world.
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati has long been a patron of young people and was one of the special patrons of World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney. He was an avid hiker and mountain climber, a Lay Dominican who shared his faith with his friends and brought many young people to Jesus.
